Birthday Wishes For Turning 18

Review choral mess Few news

Ueeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Because I feel a lot of guilt for not having updated this blog recently, I try to get some 'specifically telling the choir festival on Saturday .. . I do not think that ever get myself to describe the journey that we did for the holidays with Elena in the U.S., or all that trouble I went through to finish the PhD thesis (bad rhyme) because I have no time at all. But, basically, this post contains several ingredients, and is a great way to start in my opinion.

So, we see the background of the matter.

The first day arrival in Boston, such as January 29, 2007, is Sunday. Arrival
destroyed room in my temporary accommodation (see post begins the adventure) and I try to go to a church for mass. There's one nearby, so I go there. In this church (which I find to be the university parish of Northeastern University), sing a beautiful song, very melodic, which strikes me now. As is typical of churches ver-ess-and , a leaflet distributed to the public with songs and thoughts of the day, like a piece of paper "Sunday" in the house. As above, there was also the melody of the song that I liked, I take home a copy.

Over time this song affects me in the head, so I decide to faxarla to our organist of Mirabello, who then completely re-harmonized, taking out the voices of altos, tenors and basses, as well as for sopranos that I had faxed. The result is a more beautiful version of what I had heard, I propose that the choir is delighted to bring this choral review of S. Carlo, which was held last Saturday.

I must say that the boys of the choir have adapted quite well to learn a new song in a language unknown to most people, so that after countless readings, corrections of pronunciation, translations, etc etc, we started to get going. The most special thing was to help some ladies who just do not know English. In practice, I have prepared a transcript pronounced in Italian, with such phrases as "O Gad, Iu I s'rch end iu nou me") - a labor Executioner - and one of these I have also recorded a CD (where I sang). Then if you listened to him milllioni times a day while doing chores to memorize the song ... condolences to the piazza Mirabello that is sorbed my voice for a month! : P

the end, the song is good, we get quiet in the show on Saturday e. .. ACT! The fateful question: "where are the books of the songs?" Answers: 1
. "Ah them you took them? "
2." Well maybe gave them to the priest. "
3. Stefano, where is Stephen? Ah next? He did not have them? "
4." Sure I had to take me? "
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaial are the 20:15, the show starts in fifteen minutes, seconds, and we do not have the LIBRETTIIIII!

But nerves. Fabio and I've got a car to return to Mirabello take them. I put my talent on show from the pilot and I shudder while accelerating the flattened to the seat. Moments excited. We come to the rectory. The door. But what will be the key! Try one. Nothing. Try two, three, 10 , no. Try combinations of locks turn with 3 or 4 turns (because OBVIOUSLY when you rush the priest has always given 10 turns instead of the usual 2). 5 minutes after we open. Tic tac tic tac. Time passes, we come to the rectory, and from there to church, Fabio retrieves a carton, I see that is new, I say, okay, okay, let's go!

In less than five minutes we are back to S. Carlo, are already doing the song that starts at the review group. We begin to distribute the booklets, and pork EXECUTIONER! It was the box sbagliatoooooooooooo! : ((In practice, we prepared two boxes. One contained enough books checked (that is, with all the songs in) for all. The other one contained only half to which I have the only merit, because those with whom I was putting in place the books I would stop the box above). Obviously, we have it soon! In other words, moments of excitement, relief to discover that we have enough to do it in two with each book and we leave. I say two words in the arm to introduce the choir and the songs, which have myself out of his mouth at the speed of light, and then we leave.

It also sing well, hell, and who expected it! Too bad for the body that have a lousy S. Carlo, but overall we did well. And, finally, the only ones to have brought a wave of diversity in a landscape of songs that is always the same. As I leave the

review to go to Elena (which incidentally, for reasons of work not seen since the previous Saturday), I reflect on a bug I ever had and I never exceeded. I tend to want to do things the best we can, regardless if you look the best on the one hand, maybe you do not find the other part, where it would be more important. In this case, what we wanted to load BOTH of the boxes in the car? 30 seconds more. To save money,
on my decision, we took only one, that wrong. Mah I have always been so, a little 'perfectionist for minor things, without seeking the big picture. I have a little autism, what can you do. E are also improved over three years ago. Too bad, because a little 'in this case, a bit' in general, may sometimes be good to have an extra eye for an overview and less for the details. Especially when the marginal gain is low, gained 30 seconds against the risk of not completing the primary objective. They want me as well that all good, and have realized that it was just a-pro-quo here ...

Coming from Helen, tells me I am really good in that dress and the beard, and I forget the tensions. And to you, I give to you next post:)
